Common Questions

Frequently asked.

Straight answers on response times, pricing, coverage, and what our documentation means for your insurer. Don't see your question? Ask the OEM Assistant or message Darren on WhatsApp.

How quickly can you attend a vessel or site? +

On Grand Bahama, we can typically respond same-day or next-day depending on scope. For Nassau and the Family Islands, attendance is scheduled — call Darren at +1 (242) 727-5076 for current availability.

What does an inspection or survey cost? +

Every job is priced on scope — vessel size, site conditions, and the documentation required. Darren provides a quote after a short consultation, with no obligation. Use the contact page or the OEM Assistant to send your details.

Do you travel outside Grand Bahama? +

Yes. We serve Nassau and New Providence regularly, and mobilize to the Family Islands by arrangement for surveys, certifications, and remediation work.

What is a gas free certificate and when do I need one? +

A gas free certificate confirms — after atmosphere testing — that a tank, hold, or confined space is safe for entry or hot work such as welding and cutting. Shipyards, repairers, and insurers typically require one before work begins.

Will your documentation be accepted by my insurer? +

Our surveys and certificates are prepared as independent, fully documented reports — dated, photographed, and detailed to the standard marine insurers and shipping lines expect. That documentation is the core of what we deliver.

How do I know if I have a mold problem? +

Persistent musty odor, visible spotting on walls or ceilings, recurring allergy symptoms indoors, or a history of leaks or storm intrusion are the usual signs. We confirm with indoor air quality testing before recommending remediation — you'll know the extent before you spend on the fix.

What should I have ready when I contact you? +

The basics: what the asset is (vessel, building, or facility), where it is, and what you need — a survey, a certificate, testing, or remediation. Photos help if you have them. The contact form and the OEM Assistant both walk you through it.

Can I get a summary of your services for a procurement file? +

Yes — download our one-page capability statement from the About page. It covers services, coverage, differentiators, and direct contact details.
